Our TOEFL practice tests provide maximum assessment value by precisely duplicating the content and structure of the official TOEFL.

Manhattan Review's TOEFL classroom instructors and individual tutors have successfully undergone a rigorous screening process that considers academic credentials, professional experience, suitability for teaching, and TOEFL expertise. Our TOEFL teachers are also comprehensively trained in Manhattan Review's TOEFL course syllabi, course materials, and instructional methodologies. Manhattan Review TOEFL students can be confident that they are receiving instruction from the most effective and engaging TOEFL educators available in Singapore. They'll teach you how to understand the pedagogical reasoning behind each TOEFL section, how to master each type of TOEFL exercise, how to organize your study time for maximum learning, and how to approach the test strategically. They'll build your self-confidence with positive feedback and precise assessments of progress, and they'll prepare you for the rigors of test day.

Manhattan Review's TOEFL prep services in Singapore can accommodate any set of TOEFL requirements, which vary greatly from school to school. Some universities have across-the-board TOEFL standards. Columbia University, for example, requires a total score of 100 for most students. Other postsecondary institutions mandate a program-specific set of TOEFL scores. Harvard Business School expects a total score of 109 from its applicants, but Harvard's Graduate School of Education accepts a total score of 104, as long as all sectional scores are at least 26. In some cases, undergraduate applicants must produce higher scores than prospective graduate students. The general undergraduate requirement at Cornell University is a total score of 100, but many graduate programs will accept composite scores as low as 77. At New York University, the situation is reversed, with an undergraduate minimum of 92 and a graduate standard of 100. Regardless of your specific TOEFL requirements, Manhattan Review's Singapore TOEFL prep services will help you get started on your degree program. Meet a Singapore TOEFL Tutor: Jake Q.

Jake Q. has been a TOEFL tutor and English language instructor since 2005. He previously worked for Manhattan Review in New York City before his relocation to Singapore last year. He holds a bachelor's degree in education from Rutgers University and a master's degree in English literature from the University of Pennsylvania. He is experienced in all modes of TOEFL prep delivery, including classroom, online, and private tutoring.

Jake is a fluent speaker of three languages (German, French, and English), and he considers language study to be crucial to overall intellectual development. "By studying other languages, you learn a great deal about the universality of human expression," he says. "You also build a much more solid command of verbal communication in any language." In his spare time, Jake enjoys the cultural life of Singapore, especially the local music scene.
